Great Success for Sixth Form Students!

Congratulations to all of our Year 12 and 13 students who are collecting their AS and A2 results today. The students have performed exceptionally well.   In Year 13 there were fantastic sets of both Academic and Vocational results. Some of the key highlights are

          99% pass rate overall

33% A* –  A grades (in academic and vocational equivalent programmes)

51% A* –  B grades (in academic and vocational equivalent programmes)

Average points per student is 728 (which would be the equivalent of BBB for students taking 3 A Levels)

There were also some outstanding individual results at A2 level.  One student attained 4 A* grades in Maths, Further Maths Physics and Chemistry.  Another student attained A*A A B  in their four A levels and one achieved A* A B B.  Two further students achieved A*A B C.

At AS level there were also some very strong results in spite of news of variability nationally for AS results.  St John Fisher students attained a 91% pass rate overall with 27% of all grades being A or B.

Again there were some excellent individual successes including three students gaining 4 As each.

We wish all of our students who are leaving us this Summer every success with University, training or their employment and look forward to welcoming the Year 12 students back to us in September to complete their A-Level studies.
